Opposite Upchurch Cricket Club and close to the village.

Our address is:

Directions

From the Medway town’s direction:

Rainham town centre follow A2 towards Sittingbourne for approx. 1.5miles, turn left into Oak Lane which is signposted for Upchurch (and you will see a sign for the River Valley Golf Club).

From Sittingbourne direction:

From Keycol Hill, continue along the A2 for approx. 2.6 miles, turn right into Oak Lane which is signposted for Upchurch (and you will see a sign for the River Valley Golf Club).

Follow Oak Lane all the way into Upchurch village centre (Circa 1.25 miles), As you go past the Co-Op on your left, you will see the village Church, go past this so as it is on the left hand side of you and this leads to a sharp right hand bend into Forge Lane (just feels like a continuation of the same road). Chip shop (Oh My Cod!) is now on your left and as you drive down for 0.25mile you will see the village school on your right hand side, Continue ahead and at the sharp left hand turn, turn immediate right into Holywell Lane. The cricket club is now on your left-hand side, continue for 0.5mile on Holywell Lane, site entrance in on your Right-hand side. Wooden 5Acres sign on the gate, if you look just inside the apple orchard you will see a Camping and Caravanning club sign.

DO NOT TRY AND APPROACH US VIA BREACH LANE – Regardless of what your Satnav tells you. Whist you can access this way, it’s not advisable due to a small lane with lots of overhanging trees.

The below is just a snapshot of some of the amazing reviews we have had from the wonderful people that have enjoyed joining us at 5Acres:

Another visit to this wonderful site for us. We used it to finish our season for the winter :-(
We love the peace and quiet, we love the space, views are stunning and we love picking apples direct from the tree and eating the red ones and cooking an apple pie with the cookers!
We had a nice stroll around to the pub and had a meal and probably a drink too many as we didn't have to drive! Picked some cheese up from the local CO-OP and chilled out in the evening in the lovely Orchard.
Owners are fantastic, very relaxed and don't mind what time you leave on day of departure.

You don't need to be a member of any club to come here as the fields are partitioned off for club members and non club members.
Look forward to our next visit.

Came of Sheppey and started to look for a site, got UKCampsite.co.uk up on me phone, found this site, got the number and rang up. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, gave us directions.
Arrived to a handshake and a tour of the site facilities.
Plenty of room, hook up, short grass. Gently sloping field witch wasn't a problem.
Toilet was clean, didn't use shower.
Lovely and quiet, got up refreshed had brekkie and left.
Use again? Yes.

Fantastic little site, wonderfully friendly owners, The shower was very clean. Pubs within walking distance, as is the chippy. Apples from the orchard are free. Horses were a treat, fairly windy, but was lovely when the sun came out. Definitely going back soon, best site we've been on for ages. Highly recommended. Top site.

Just spent a lovely weekend at this campsite and what a great little place it is.
Arrived on Friday afternoon to be greeted by the owners and given a little tour around the site.
The site is split into small paddocks with two orchards either end.
The ground is gently sloping, views of the surrounding Kent countryside & Medway estuary are great.

Then there is a toilet/Shower/washroom and a waste disposal drain.

Within a short walk is the village of Upchurch which has a Co-op, newsagents, fish & chip shop and a pub.

Have already booked to go back to this site again next month and will use it on a regular basis as its a great little retreat for us.

Our second visit to this gem of a site and by no means any less an opinion than before. We had glorious weather over a 3 day stay which meant we could truly enjoy the vast open spaces of the site. You have a large area in front of your pitch and then venturing further down the site a wide orchard with a well stocked pond. Loved watching the sheep grazing in the farmers field next door and the horses in the upper field.
Local Co-op was well stocked for additional groceries and newspapers and the chip shop came highly recommended.
Being fairly close to home this is ideal for us for an extended weekend. The toilet and showers are kept spotless.
Will be booking again soon.
